Editor's Notes
Dell Inspiron 13 7348 takes a note from Lenovo's Yoga 2-in-1 laptop series by converting into a tablet with a 180 degree hinge. This allows the laptop screen to be flipped all the way back and that also enables use in 'stand' and 'tent' modes.
Where Dell Inspiron 13 7348 improves upon is a built-in stylus but all the graphic designers out there - do not get too excited. This is a passive capacitive stylus pen which means there is not pressure sensitivity and it's precise as your fingers. Still a nice addition that will help keeping finger prints away and somewhat improve accuracy when needed.
The £499 base model offers an Intel Core i3 processor, 4GB RAM, 1366x768px touchscreen and 500GB hard drive. The middle of the range is the £649 model that packs an Intel Core i5, full HD 1920x1080px touchscreenm 8GB RAM and 500GB hardrive with 8GB cache. The top of the line model retails at £779 that adds an Intel Core i7 and 256GB SSD.
The chassis of the Dell Inspiron 13 7348 looks like it's made of aluminium but it's actually plastic. I wouldn't worry about it though as it is solid and well-built. This a 7000 Series after all, which is the premium line of Dell's Inspiron laptop range.
Thanks to solid build, built-in active stylus and slightly lower price then it's direct competitor Lenovo Yoga 13 I decided to give Dell Inspiron 13 7348 the 'Editor's Choice Award' for 2-in-1 notebook.
