Not so long ago HP unveiled its first ultrabook the HP Folio 13 which was more targeted at the consumer market. Coinciding with the Intel Ivy Bridge platform HP release an ultrabook aimed specifically at the business segment with HP EliteBook Folio 9470m. It’s slighltly larger the Folio 13 as it’s packing a 14 inch screen which made space for an exra set of keys on the right side where HP decided to stick in the ‘home’, ‘page up’, ‘page down’ and ‘end’ keys while also expanding the ‘left arrow’ and ‘right arrow’ keys.
Weighing in at 1.6 kg and being 19 mm thick it isn’t the lightest and thinnest of the ultrabooks but it did HP to include a full range of ports that are essential to business users such as full size VGA, DisplayPort and Ethernet ports. Add 3 x USB 3.0 ports, smart card, SD card and a finger print reader and you end up with a selection of ports that will put other ultrabooks to shame. No word on battery life and UK availablity/pricing yet. It will be available in the US from October starting at $1,149. Until then check the photos below.
